PLAYER'S MANUAL
The Elk's National Golf League adopted the following procedures for participants of their golf league.
LEAGUE PLAYERS
- Players in the league must be in good standing of B.P.O.E. Portsmouth Lodge 154.
- Players shall pay the league established dues at the beginning of league play. Player dues for the 2008 season shall remain $35.00.
- A Player failing to participate in a scheduled match without providing an eligible substitute, notifying their Team Captain or notifying a League Officer shall be considered a NO SHOW for that match. if a Player received two (2) NO SHOWS during the season, the second infraction will result in the Player losing his eligibility for the remainder of the season. A new Player will be assigned to that Team for the remainder of the season and any playoff matches.
LEAGUE SUBSTITUTES
- Substitutes in the league must also be in good standing of B.P.O.E. Portsmouth Lodge 154.
- For eligible substitutes, refer to the Substitute Player's Roster. A player may substitute in the flight they are listed or any higher flight. if a Player is not listed contact a League Officer to confirm the players flight eligibility.
- A Player in the American Golf League (Tuesday Night Golf League), who is an Elk in good standing, may substitute in the same flight or a higher flight than they play in the Tuesday Night Golf League.
- A Player may substitute only once during the weekly match playing period.
- Prospective members who have turned in applications for membership in the B.P.O.E., Portsmouth Lodge 154, are eligible to substitute.
TEAMS
- Teams shall be composed of a specific number of players classified by flight.
- No handicaps will be used during league matches.
- The designatedTeam Captain shall be the contact person for each team.
